Book of Me

Many scrapbookers create most of their layouts about their family, friends, holidays, pets, etc, etc, etc.

It would seem that, as often happens in life,we almost always put ourselves last on our list of priorities.

The BOOK OF ME is different!

Each page you create is only about YOU !!!

Page by page , you will create a personal reflection of yourself
and what makes you uniquely YOU.

You will create a beautiful, descriptive, personal journal,
that is sure to become a treasured family heirloom.

How I wish that I had one of each of my parents and grandparents!

I will be teaching a monthly class

Staying Positive

Life can be crazy sometimes.

I find that time slips by ever faster and it seems that there is just not enough time to do everything that needs doing.

I have been reading books to inspire me, these past few months, books full of optimism and positivity.

I have had the wonderful good fortune to have met a number of truly inspirational and supportive people, not to mention my loyal friends who are always there, whatever the weather may bring.

I feel a little guilty about not having done a post on my blog for so long...

I think that maybe I should stop, take a few deep breaths and try to organise myself and my time a lot better than I have been up to now.

So.....here goes.....

Easter Cards

These are my 3 cards that I made for this month's challenge kit at Fat Cat Scrappin.

I chose to use mainly the plain sides of the cardstock as I wanted to use as many of the ribbons and embellishments in the kit as I could, without them being 'lost' on a busy background.

My favourite card is the middle one as I especially like how the bunny looks. In the kit it came as just a plain brown die cut shape.I used a black pen to outline and detail the bunny. Then, i used a slightly darker shade of brown of pen to shadow different areas to add dimension.I then used a white gel pen to colour the nose, tail, eye and ears.A touch of pink pen to the nose and ears before the final addition of a ribbon bow to bunny's neck.

At Last...

Why has it taken soooo long to update my blog ?????

Well, I could tell you that I have only just recovered from seeing George Michael, which is partially true, but it is also because I have also been busy (slack..;-) ).

George was fantastic. He was everything and more than I anticipated...and I even made a new friend !

Amanda and I sat next to each other and I could hardly believe that she was an even bigger fan of George than I am.Amanda is from Sydney and had also been lucky enough to have already seen the Perth and Sydney concerts.I was so blessed to have Amanda to share the experience with...we cheered, screamed, sang and danced the entire concert together.

An even bigger surprise was when Clive and Charlotte appeared during the intermission...I was shocked to see them...a very kind lady had given them her tickets as she had to leave the concert early...how lucky!!!

GEORGE MICHAEL.....HERE I COME !!!!!!!!!

At long last, the WAITING is over !!!

And yes, I am a little OLDER.

It is an AMAZING feeling.

My FAITH that George would one day return has been rewarded.

Once again, this girl has got EVERYTHING SHE WANTS.

I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight...I am far too excited !!!
I am so ready for tomorrow night, I can hardly wait.

I am so grateful and so blessed to have been given the opportunity to be able to go to this concert ( thanks, Sarah !).

And I would also like to say a genuine, heartfelt Thankyou to George Michael himself.
I would love to have the opportunity to do this in person, but, sadly, that is highly unlikely.George, thankyou...you have been the soundtrack of my life. From my teenage years and becoming who I am today...you were even with me, playing softly in the background, at the birth of my little girl Charlotte. Whenever I have felt sad, I only need to play one of your CDs, and I am assured of feeling better. And housework is definitely not so much of a chore when I can sing along with you while I work.

George Michael you are my absolute favourite artist...always have been, always will be.

2 and counting.......

OMG !!!!!!!

I can hardly believe that this time in 2 days that I will be there !!!!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I feel sorry for anyone who gets me talking about it.....I try to control myself, I really, really do, but the excitement just gets the better of me.
I'm like a runaway train....there's no stopping me (lol). My poor family.....they seem to have accepted that I am totally George Michael obssessed ( sad really, to the point that I am worried that they are close to giving up the will to live, lol ).My 7 year old even allowed me to watch my George Michael Concert on DVD without protest and screaming, "MUM Not George Michael AGAIN !!!!!! ".
My friends think that I am sad ( yes, Leesa, I mean you !!! lol). I don't think so....I think that it is wonderful to be experiencing the same feelings of excitement and anticipation as I did when I was a teenager, although I am pretty sure that I won't be screaming at the top of my lungs like I did all those years ago......well, maybe not, anyway, lol !!!
